Permanent staffing is the process of identifying and recruiting qualified applicants for long-term employment based on a set of criteria.

Staffing is the operation of recruiting eligible employees in an organisation by evaluating their skills and knowledge and then offering them specific job roles accordingly.

The following are the three major types of staffing:

• Staffing on a contract basis or for a limited time

• Staffing on a contract-to-hire basis

• Staffing for Direct Placement

A permanent job is one in which you are a salaried employee who works part-time or full-time. The job comes with a contract that specifies how many hours you'll work each week. A temporary job is one in which you are employed for a set period of time.
